Looking for AUTHENTIC THAI food in NYC? You might want to check out Mitr Thai Restaurant. We ordered three dishes: Pad See Ew with squid, Pineapple Fried Rice with chicken, and Laab Ped (a crispy duck Thai-style salad). Every bite delivers the true taste and vibe of Thailand! The restaurant itself is spotless and has a really refreshing atmosphere. Above all, the warm and generous service reminded me of the traditional hospitality from my hometown in Thailand. The staff is so welcoming and polite. I highly recommend stopping by if you are in New York!

We had such a great experience here! My husband and I came for dinner and everything was delicious from start to finish. We started with the Mango Avocado Salad, and it was so fresh and flavorful. The julienned mango had the perfect crunch! We also tried the Roti Massaman, which was excellent. The pan-fried roti with the chicken Massaman curry dipping sauce was so good that we saved the rest of the sauce and added it to our main dishes. For my entrée, I ordered the Basil Fried Rice with shrimp, and it was honestly to die for! I asked for it nice and spicy, and they made it exactly how I wanted it. The basil, long hot chili, peppers, onions, fried egg, and shrimp all worked so well together. My husband ordered the Pad Thai with shrimp and absolutely loved his too. Of course, we also had the Thai tea, which we loved! The atmosphere was cool and relaxed, and the restaurant had such an authentic Thai feel. Our server Popeyes was amazing—so sweet, always smiling, and constantly making sure we were taken care of. Service was fast, friendly, and attentive. Great vibes, amazing service, and seriously delicious food. We’ll definitely be back!

First time going to Mitr Thai. It is definitely worth your money. My friend and I had made a reservation at 1245pm on a Saturday and would recommend it since it was a bit busy. The staff was super attentive and accommodating. We had ordered the Short Rib Prik Kang but we didn’t get the order and actually got another dish. We brought it to the waitresses concern and they were super nice with changing the dish. We actually also wanted the Phu Nim Karee which were these soft shell crabs but the sauce had a problem and we weren’t able to order it. Since it is a seasonal item I’d say to get it for sure. The food also came out super fast which was also really nice. We ordered: - Goong Muk Prik Klua: which are these sautéed jumbo shrimps with squid 9/10 - Pla Tom Kha Hang which is on the (seasonal menu): crispy fillet branzino 7/10 - Short Rub Prik Kang: braised beef short rib with curry paste 10000/10 super delicious and worth it (a bit spicy) - Thai Ice-Tea 10/10

Absolutely amazing! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was beautiful, modern, and welcoming. The service was friendly and attentive, and every recommendation was spot on. The food was outstanding—everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. You can really tell they use high-quality ingredients, and each dish was packed with authentic Thai flavors. Every bite was delicious! If you’re looking for incredible Thai food in NYC, I highly recommend Mitr Thai. It’s definitely a place I’ll be coming back to, and I can’t wait to try more from their menu. A fantastic dining experience from start to finish!

Mitr Thai is easily one of the best Thai spots in the city. The restaurant has a modern, stylish vibe while still feeling warm and welcoming — perfect for both casual dinners and date nights. The food was outstanding. Every dish was packed with authentic flavor, beautifully presented, and clearly made with high-quality ingredients. The spice level was well-balanced and customizable, which I really appreciated. Service was friendly and efficient even during busy hours.
